Vice President of Finance & Accounting


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

Accounting:


  • Oversee daily operations of the Accounting, Finance and Controllership function.
  • Direct all aspects of accounting operations and policy and oversee all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze the financial results with respect to revenue, profits, costs and compliance with budgets.
  • Understand and provide insights into variances and trends.
  • Negotiate transfer prices together with business and finance leaders across the organization.
  • Ensure that data used in the budgeting, planning, and reporting processes are accurate and sound.

Financial Operations:


  • Support FP&A team in all financial and budget activities monitor, analyze and present monthly operating results against budget.
  • Prepare financial analysis and support decision-making processes relative to new product development and R&D investment, capital investment, channel and revenue opportunities, product manufacturing, marketing expenditures, strategic partnership/JV opportunities, and contract negotiations.
  • Partner with CFO to drive business results, analyze business performance and develop actions plans and/or countermeasures to achieve targets.
  • Manage components of working capital to strengthen the company’s free cash flow.
  • Work across the organization and other legal entities to understand revenue and cost drivers, as well as develop plans to improve profitability.

Reporting and Compliance:


  • Manage the preparation of financial statements and all regular and ad hoc financial reports on a monthly and annual basis including year-end closing per U.S. GAAP/IFRS.
  • Manage the preparation of executive financial briefings, outlooks, and forecasts.
  • Prepare for commercial-related legal, contract, risk management, security and insurance matters.
  • Ensure compliance and filing of all external reporting, tax returns, customs declarations and others where applicable.
  • Coordinate and/or prepare tax schedules and filings, verify tax alternatives and coordinate internal and external audit activities within U.S. legal frameworks.
  • Oversees implementation of new Business Services function, including centralization and standardization of core accounting processes.
  • Works closely with Finance PMO office/team to drive team and technical transformation.

Leadership:


  • Continue to maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives while taking responsibility for selecting, hiring, training, developing, and disciplining staff.
  • Develop staff to reach their fullest potential and contribution to the organization.
  • Manages relationship with external auditors (Big 4 firm).
