- Results-Oriented: The new Vice President of Finance & Accounting must be performance-driven and able to provide measurable results. The successful candidate will be resourceful, action-oriented, as well as a flexible and decisive leader who establishes clarity in the midst of distractions to produce results in a timely fashion.
- Communication: This individual should possess very strong communication, listening, and persuasion skills, in order to truly partner with the management team. He/ She must be an adept writer as well as be comfortable, dynamic, and an effective presenter in front of both external and internal audiences including employees, senior management, and customers and public forums. This is a highly collaborative management team.
- Strategic Agility: This individual must be intellectually sharp and clearly capable of thinking on his/her feet while demonstrating outstanding business judgment. The Vice President will possess the Financial and analytical skills to improve overall productivity and elevate the company’s efforts as a point of differentiation in the marketplace. Today’s vision may change drastically in the future. This person must not only embrace change, but be entrepreneurial in nature, creating and altering this road map along the way.
- Leadership Acumen and Team Orientation: The Vice President will be charged with elevating the overall revenue, profitability, and talent of the business through various efforts. Through the development of improved processes and training, this individual will work to foster a culture of accountability and results.
