POSITION OVERVIEW

Treasure Data has just created a role for a Sr. Director, Global Talent to join their dynamic People Team. Based in the United States and reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Sr. Director, Global Talent will be responsible for building a strategic framework around Talent and partnering with the business to align and execute upon our hiring plan to support the company’s fast-paced growth. This leader will define and implement a scalable hiring methodology and approach to drive exceptional talent hiring, growth and retention- ensuring employee success well beyond hire. The ideal candidate will be a high impact business partner to the Executive Leadership Team to identify and address talent gaps, enhance employer branding, establish and strengthen external partnerships and enrich our teams with talent from all different backgrounds and perspectives. The candidate will partner with the People and senior leadership teams to build upon, establish and drive global programs and initiatives around diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging (DEIB). The ability to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent of diverse backgrounds and perspectives is paramount to the Company’s success and aligned with its values and culture. The Sr. Director, Global Talent will inspire and lead a cross-functional team of sourcers, coordinators, and recruiters to assure the highest level of service delivery and commitment to recruiting excellence. The leader will set the right bar for pace, quality and consistency across recruiting to ensure a great process for hiring managers and panelists as well as an exceptional candidate experience. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded HR executive with varied experience and a willingness to “jump in”. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic

  • Provide strategic direction and seamless execution of the company's global recruitment efforts; update leadership on talent market insights and progress towards hiring goals.
  • Define and deliver a comprehensive Talent strategy and approach including implementing a scalable hiring methodology.
  • Assess and calibrate team structure and capacity to ensure the ability to meet hiring goals.
  • Identify and address mission-critical talent gaps by implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract exceptional talent across the business.
  • Build diverse talent pipelines and communities for critical functional areas.
  • Drive effective diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) recruitment strategy to expand outreach to and attraction from diverse pools of talent.
  • Define and enhance the internal mobility process to drive employee growth and retention
  • Define a process for contingent workforce hiring

Team Leadership

  • Lead a cross-functional, global team of coordinators, sourcers and recruiters; set the bar for high performance, accountability and collaboration within the team and with hiring managers across the company.
  • Build upon the collaborative spirit of the team; position and lift the team up as a critical function to fuel the growth of the company.
  • Provide clear goals and objectives for the team; manage performance by providing timely constructive feedback and coaching the team for development and growth.
  • Evaluate and enhance regional processes for maximum efficiency and results.

Trusted Advisor

  • Build strong relationships with senior business leaders, hiring managers, and People team members; be the strategic expert for Talent sharing insights and guidance.
  • Build and strengthen external partnerships to support global recruitment efforts.
  • Partner with the CPO to drive effective programs to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent.

Operations

  • Strengthen employer brand and value proposition and help position Treasure Data as a premier employer destination.
  • Evaluate and optimize recruitment programs, systems, processes, tools and reporting metrics to streamline and enhance service outcomes.
  • Evaluate and manage the talent acquisition budget and operating plan based on financial targets; continue to augment internal hiring vs. external hiring via 3rd parties.
  • Provide expertise identifying and establishing partnerships with any 3rd party vendors to improve recruitment efforts.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Technical

  • 10+ years of experience as an HR/ TA professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful record of developing leading-edge, cost-effective, action-focused recruitment programs that reflect future plans regarding headcount growth, employee development, and retention.
  • Experience developing effective DEIB recruitment strategies and external partnerships.
  • Experience driving business strategies through creative Human Resource processes and initiatives.

Personal

  • Goal-oriented, proactive, accountable, and passionate about driving results.
  • Agile and continuous learner with personal resilience and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills (including presentation skills) across levels. An ability to persuade, influence, and build enthusiasm, accountability, and commitment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field preferred. Master’s Degree or MBA a plus.

The Sr. Director, Global Talent will be charged with elevating the overall talent acquisition and staffing capabilities of the company. Through the development of improved talent acquisition processes, better utilization of staffing tools, this individual will work to upgrade the hiring processes while fostering a culture of accountability and results. With this in mind, the company requires a hands-on, team-oriented executive who has broad-based credibility and is capable of consistently motivating people to take action. They will be comfortable working in a lean organization and rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
