The Scope of the
Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and President, the Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer is responsible for defining and directing the strategic risk management vision based upon organizational growth objectives and leveraging risk technology. The Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer monitors the business environment to predict and analyze risk outcomes. The Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer is responsible for measuring and managing the aggregate risk in the Bank's loan portfolio. The Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer oversees the commercial credit and collection policies, procedures, and processes ensuring appropriate mitigation of the risks inherent in any loan portfolio. The Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer collaborates with the CEO and executive leadership team to review and recommend lending policy and guidelines that balance the lending and growth goals of the organization with appropriate risk tolerance, considering the current and forecasted economic, regulatory, and consumer environment

This leader must be performance-driven and able to provide measurable results toward achieving TDECU’s aggressive growth to 1 million members over the next decade. Resources to do the job require effective written and verbal communication skills, strong and proven analytical ability, advanced systems skills, demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization, and effective and consistent leadership capability.
