
Vice President - Data & Analytics
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Strategy
- Creates and executes on an enterprise aligned vision, strategy and roadmap for data and insights that supports the achievement of strategic results, KPI tracking, identification and development.
- Has an expertise in understanding financial services data sets including but not limited to loans, deposits, consumer loans, mortgage products, insurance products, wealth products, deposit products, customer experience, retail channels, digital channels, sales funnels, marketing, Human Resources, contact centers, collections, risk analysis, product development, production and performance management, incentive, etc.
- Aligns and develops data team and contractors as appropriate within budget, to support execution and delivery of strategy and key imperatives effectively and efficiently. Develops mid-term and long-term people strategies aligned to overall data strategy.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of data strategy and enterprise strategy.
- Keeps up to date with emerging analytics, insights and data management technologies and methodologies, and assesses their relevance to our products and strategy.
- Creates awareness and educates on the power of advanced analytics, evangelizes data‐informed decision making, and proactively identifies analytics needs.
Insights and Analytics
- Works across lines of business and closely with executives and stakeholders to understand their business needs.
- Develops the framework for analytics across the company, including standardization of data collection, data automation, data management, and data use.
- Navigates large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and deliver reporting across critical priorities.
- Delivers compelling and clear information and insights.
- Conducts executive level analysis. Creates dashboards to support and inform business performance and growth.
Ethicist, Governance and Security
- Develop and implement relevant, financial services centric, data governance program throughout the enterprise.
- Has a clear understanding and level of expertise in Data Security. Can lead, direct, or inform teams of data engineers, programmers, developers, security specialist, and architects. Can collaborate and influence Executive Management, Vice Presidents, and Directors.
- Implements and advises on the ethical use of data throughout all levels of the organization. This includes how data is collected, safeguarded, and shared and who controls it.
Data Culture
- Evangelizes the use of data-informed decision making throughout the organization and creates data-driven standards for leveraging data science and analytics to offer both internal and external actionable insights.
- Creates awareness and educates on the power of advanced analytics, evangelizes data‐informed decision making, and proactively identifies analytics needs.
- Established clear roles and responsibilities of all individuals in the organization as it relates to data. Creates health accountability for roles and responsibilities.
