
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
LEADERSHIP:
- Provide day to day leadership to our multi-location benefits service team with a strong focus on exceptional client service delivery while maintaining a broader firm perspective.
- Maintain a team culture that fosters candid feedback, idea sharing and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Regularly review processes in order to identify and implement process changes and develop new processes that drive greater effectiveness and efficiency among the team.
- Actively participate in firm wide leadership meetings.
TECHNICAL:
- Serve as an expert Human Resource, Employee Benefits and Compliance resource for both the account management and consultant (sales) teams.
- Step in where needed to address complex client issues, ensuring appropriate, effective and timely resolution.
- Own the day to day process of ensuring our team members comply with existing regulations and laws and that they are appropriately advising and helping clients comply with ever changing laws and regulations.
- Actively research, evaluate and implement new technology solutions that enable the benefits team to provide innovative service solutions to our clients.
MANAGEMENT:
• Provide a monthly benefits service team bandwidth status report to firm leadership, outlining the capacity of the team, any challenges presently facing the team and anticipated staffing needs 90 to 180 days in the future.
• Actively provide positive and constructive feedback to team members during the year and through annual reviews.
• Participate in both existing and prospective client-facing meetings and presentations
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new vendor partners to ensure service delivery levels are meeting or exceeding expectations and that vendors are keeping up with the evolving needs of our clients.
- Continue to cultivate and push significant resources available via our larger broker affiliation (Acrisure) to maximize benefits to both clients as well as our internal team
CLIENT SERVICE:
- Communicate and explain benefit plan design elements to clients.
- Provide prompt and effective service to clients in areas including: claims assistance, plan changes, enrollment change, compliance and other service requests.
- Individually and in partnership with benefits consultants, evaluate existing benefits programs for group clients and prospects.
- Work alongside HR Managers, CFO’s and executives of our existing clients to ensure proper understanding of their employee benefits plans and programs.
- Serve as a liaison between the client, consultant team, and vendors/carriers in order to ensure cohesive client service delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of health, dental, life, disability, vision, Section 125 and consumer driven healthcare products including HSA and HRA etc.
- Assist consultants with plan renewals, open enrollment meetings, setting up and managing service provider partnerships, health fairs and other clients focused projects.
