DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide oversight and leadership for the existing Prime AE Transportation Business Line in the areas of traditional and alternate delivery with total control and internal resources and Executive support for success.
- Drive profitability and growth across all offices and service offerings in the Transportation Business Line, develop and deliver financial targets for the business.
- Lead the expansion of the group through pursuit of transportation-related projects (highway design, bridge design/inspect) in currnet markets via your existing network and extensive client outreach initiatives, along with attendance and involvement in key industry organizations.
- Responsibility for the development and execution of longer-term strategies including the development of the Transportation 3-year and 5-year strategic plan inclusive of markets, clients, and geographies with coordination of regional operations managers.
- Identify trends and develop a long-term view of the industry, market and client base.
- Anticipate medium and long term client needs and industry dynamics, while adapting to changing market conditions.
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with current clients to ensure high quality and compliant design services, projects and other deliverables are being delivered.
- Play a significant role in maintaining quality and targeted profitability on transportation projects and assisting with managing staffing and resources to ensure our transportation projects are executed with a high level of efficiency and technical excellence.
- Oversight of resource planning and development to include evaluation of talent needs including support for development of technical, managerial, and supervisory skills and capabilities of Transportation team members.
- Provide guidance for transportation operations and project managers with business planning, hours/revenue planning and forecasting, workshare and staff balancing, as necessary.
- Attract and retain key personnel through effective leadership and visibility in the marketplace.
- Serve as QA/QC lead when necessary, and direct oversight of the Transportation Quality Assurance Plan to ensure its application and consistency across all offices in the Transportation Design Group.
- Pland and lead Business Development activities focused on key clients and on growth markets and opportunities within the Business Line.
- Establish the right safety culture to ensure employees work safely and effectively.
- Promote company values, behaviors and ethics and deliver a high level of employee engagement.
- Be a key advocate and champion in partnership with the Executive staff for the continued program of Project Excellence Improvement initiative to drive improved overall project manager training and execution across all aspects of the project life cycle.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 20+ years of transportation experience with significant years in a leadership role.
- BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent (MSCE preferred).
- PE License preferred, PE in PRIME AE markets (MD, OH, KY, CT, FL, VA, PA, MA, NY) desired.
- Solid professional relationships with key area clients and teaming partners.
- Demonstrated strategic planning for long-term business plans, including setting/measuring goals and leadership of strategic pursuits.
- Solid understating of Financials including but not limited to KPI’s, Revenue, Net contribution, Estimate to Complete on projects, etc.
- Proven track record as a successful P&L manager across multiple offices.
- Possess previous experience with growing revenues substantially in the transportation markets.
- Ability to attract and recruit high-end talent to the organization to develop, retain, and promote.
- Demonstrated experience with quality management and implementation/enforcement of QA/QC standards.
- Solid client engagement experience related to direct meetings, strategy projects, and industry associations.
- Proven teambuilding and influencing skills.
- Known for sustaining long-term client relationships.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of traditional and alternative delivery methods to include P3 and DB projects highly desired.
