
Maintenance & Reliability Manager
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS
- Management and Leadership: The Maintenance & Reliability Manager will be charged with building and elevating the overall talent of the Maintenance & Reliability team. Through the development of improved processes, tools, training, development, and hiring, this individual will work to establish the Nacero and contract-support maintenance team and foster a culture of joint accountability and results. This individual will be a strong leader who can build, inspire, and coach a Facilities team with a passion for the business, while forging close working relationships with other senior executives throughout the organization.
- Results-Oriented: The new Maintenance & Reliability Manager must be performance-driven and able to provide measurable results. The successful candidate will be resourceful, action-oriented, and possess a proactive sense of urgency and the ability to overcome obstacles to produce results in a timely fashion. They will have a track record of effectively using powerful frameworks and approaches for diagnosing and anticipating threats and taking action on the concerns of the organization to drive positive results.
- Communication: This individual should possess exceptional communication, listening, and persuasion skills - truly partnering with the management team. They should be comfortable, articulate, and dynamic in front of both external and internal audiences including employees, senior management, and external partners. They will be direct, candid, and possess strong conflict resolution skills. Effective change management skills are also critical in an entrepreneurial, aggressively growing business environment where the organization must empower the many to attack important issues and opportunities by giving teams freedom to create extraordinary change.
- Collaboration and Influencing: This leader must thrive in an environment where influence, leadership and engagement are the norm versus direct authority. The successful candidate will have experience working across overlapping boundaries between groups and can lead teams effectively in a small, agile, growing business. They must be highly analytical, detail oriented and rigorous in developing alternatives and solutions to complex issues with the ability to communicate solutions in a straightforward, collaborative, and collegial way. The successful candidate will have a personal style that is non-hierarchical, non-territorial, and collegial.
- Entrepreneurial: This individual must display an entrepreneurial mindset and create a positive work environment. They should be creative, communicative, and highly motivated to succeed yet open to risk. This leader must be capable of identifying and making the most of opportunities, while quickly overcoming and learning from setbacks. They should adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions and cope effectively with complexity and change. They should bring a can-do attitude to work and a track record of generating new and innovative approaches to solving problems.
