
Position Overview
President
The President will identify new markets and applications that maximize value for the company’s existing sugar beet co-products including pulp, molasses, raffinate, betaine, long fiber feeds. This includes new user acquisition as well as expansion of existing users. Research and development of new product applications, expansion in markets, branding, increasing awareness, and utilizing partners in selling to the right customers.
The President develops and recommends a strategic plan for each initiative to identify the company’s long-range business potential and to develop and implement strategies to maximize profit potential. This involves identifying plant locations, products produced, logistics, long term growth prospects. Understanding foreign markets with exposure to traffic, ocean freight, accounting, economics and finance. The ability to communicate effectively with foreign customers in a marketing and service environment is essential. Establishes working relationships with key buying influencers within each account. The President will also develop effective working relationships with key member personnel including plant management, company boards, purchasing, quality assurance, and receiving personnel at facilities served by the Company. The successful candidate will be highly entrepreneurial, thrive on collaboration, and possess a holistic and deep understanding of the elements that drive a profitable operation.
