Position Overview
Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager role identifies new markets and applications that increase value for the company’s existing sugar beet co-products. This includes new user acquisition as well as expansion of existing users. Research and development of new product applications, expansion in markets, branding, increasing awareness, and utilizing partners in selling to the right customers.
The Business Development Manager develops and recommends a strategic plan for each initiative to identify the company’s long-range business potential and to develop and implement strategies to maximize profit potential. This involves identifying plant locations, products produced, logistics, long term growth prospects. Establishes working relationships with key buying influencers within each account. The Business Development Manager also develops effective working relationships with key member personnel including plant management, purchasing, quality assurance and receiving personnel at facilities served by the Company. The Corporate offices are located in San Rafael, CA.
