POSITION OVERVIEW
In order to keep Marmon Electrical aligned with their company goals, the Vice President of Innovation & Strategic Marketing will oversee Group Innovation & Strategic Marketing strategies and partner with Group companies to help execute Strategic Marketing & Innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate is experienced with a bias towards innovation, and bridging organizational cultures to bring forward a collaborative offering in the market. A successful candidate is highly professional, driven, and should play a significant role in the strategic planning of Marmon Electrical's future.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage the Group business development and innovation strategy; specially identifying intra-group business opportunities working with company Marketing, Commercial & Innovation teams.
- Liaison with company Innovation teams and the Corporate Innovation team to ensure proper alignment and resourcing.
- Liaison with company Commercial and Marketing teams and the Corporate Strategic Marketing team to ensure proper alignment and resourcing.
- Work with Group & Company Leadership to identify market opportunities; specially helping with marketing analysis and intelligence.
- Learn, deploy & train Group leaders on Marmon Strategic Marketing and Innovation tools and processes
- Find opportunities to build the Marmon Electrical brand as a Group of Companies and develop strategies and tactics to create market awareness
- Assist with social media/website branding initiatives.
- Assist companies with Sales Market Mapping
- Assist President in defining new market opportunities.
- Maintain the highest degree of integrity for the company.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years marketing experience in a multi-company environment; manufacturing preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related major is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse products & markets to forge new “bundled” offerings.
- Successful examples of bringing next generation innovations to market.
- Experience working with Commercial, Marketing & Innovation teams.
- Accomplished strategic thinking in all scopes of marketing.
- Strong knowledge of branding strategies.
- Proven success in helping a company grow.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and people skills.
- Track record of achievement and career progression.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This individual will be a strong manager who can build, inspire, and coach teams with a passion for the business, while forging close working relationships with managers throughout the organization.

This individual should possess very strong communication, listening, and persuasion skills, to truly partner with the management team. A willingness to engage in a broad range of topics and discussions across all constituents is necessary.

This individual will provide a worldly perspective of macro and industry influences to assist in guiding the company’s marketing practices. They will provide perspective coming in from outside the organization to aid in the collective leadership team’s understanding and acceptance of trends, insights, changing business perspectives and marketing strategies. This keen perspective should be presented with patience and guidance rather than authoritative.
