POSITION OVERVIEW
JFrog is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources, North America to join their U.S. HR team. Based in Silicon Valley, CA and reporting to the CHRO, the Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for providing strategic HR Business Partner support for the U.S. business units at JFrog. This is a role for someone who would be excited about contributing at both firsthand and strategic levels and have a proven track record of positively influencing teams and their leaders.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded human resources executive with deep organizational design, recruitment, and development experience. They are looking for someone who possesses a ‘can-do’ approach and the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic environment. The Vice President will provide leadership in establishing optimal organizational design wherein the alignment of its infrastructure and business processes ensures world class performance. The Vice President will be the lead advisor to the executive management team in building organizational capability and processes. A key priority will be to continue the development of each individual staff member while enhancing the overall capability and capacity of the U.S. team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC
- Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
- Acts as a trusted advisor and strategic HR partner to the business units.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional working teams on strategic initiatives.
HR LEADERSHIP
- Build, develop and lead a strong, effective, and respected Human Resources team that is business savvy, proactive, responsive, helpful, and anticipatory. At all levels, the Human Resources function should be viewed by its clients as confident, expert, strategic, effective, and vital to the organization’s success.
- Partner closely with business leaders across the U.S. team to help managers with developing and growing their teams.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the HR management team; assist with resolution of HR, compensation, benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
- Partner with the executive clients, ensure excellent planning and implementation of key HR activities.
- Work with the Global HR department to develop and implement initiatives, processes, and systems.
TALENT
- Build the quality and depth of talent within the organization through innovative recruitment and retention programs that ensure organizational readiness to achieve targeted business objectives.
- Understand the existing competencies and talent needs of various teams and identify and address talent gaps before they impact the business.
- Work with the leadership team to put in place proactive talent management plans (skills/leadership development and succession planning)
COMMUNICATION
- Work to drive clear communication to ensure clarity of the strategy and drive accountability throughout the organization.
ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT (O.D.)
- Actively engage with senior management as a change agent in the provision of solutions that support organizational and cultural cohesion, enhancing overall business performance.

- Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions.
- Assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on metrics.

The Vice President of Human Resources must be performance-driven and able to provide measurable results. The successful candidate will be resourceful, action-oriented, as well as a flexible and decisive leader who establishes clarity in the midst of distractions to produce results in a timely fashion. They will provide clear direction and establish achievable goals and will actively lead cross-functional teams to ensure their success.

This individual should possess very strong communication, listening, and persuasion skills, in order to truly partner with the CHRO. They must be comfortable, dynamic, and an effective presenter in front of both external and internal audiences including employees, senior management, and customers and public forums. This individual should have a broad perspective on the impact of Innovation, Operations, Sales, Finance, Information Technology, and Executive Management. A willingness to engage in a broad range of topics and discussions across all constituents.

This individual will provide a worldly perspective of macro and industry influences to assist in guiding the company in new directions. They will provide perspective coming in from outside the organization to aid in the collective leadership team’s understanding and acceptance of trends, insights, changing business perspective and management strategies. This keen perspective should be presented with patience and guidance rather than brute authority.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ years of experience as an HR professional in a fast-paced environment.
- An agile and continuous learner with personal resilience and ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills (including presentation skills) across levels. An ability to persuade, influence, and build enthusiasm and commitment.
- Experience driving business strategies through creative Human Resource processes and initiatives. Strong business and financial acumen, preferably within the TECH industry.
- A successful record of developing leading-edge, cost-effective, action- focused programs and policies that reflect future plans and philosophies concerning growth, profitability, employee development and customer service.
- Goal-oriented, proactive, accountable, and passionate about driving results.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field required. Master’s Degree or MBA a plus.
