POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Finance reports directly to the President and is a key member of the leadership team. The position is accountable for the administrative, planning, accounting, financial, and risk management operations of the company working as a strategic leader to plan the roadmap forward.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative
- Maintain systems and processes required to facilitate the company’s operations, including expense reporting, purchase cards, purchase orders, etc.
- Establish and maintain entities and bank accounts to support global business operations
- Review and approve global payroll and other expenditures
- Assist the Director of Human Resources in evaluating compensation and benefits for non-U.S. employees
- Manage relationships with all third parties
- Implement operational best practices across the organization
Planning
- Assist the leadership team in formulating the company’s strategic plan and supporting tactical initiatives
- Monitor and direct the implementation of regional business plans
- Refine the company’s pricing model and strategy to maximize the overall portfolio yield
- Manage capital requests and the annual planning process
- Develop performance metrics that track performance against the plan
Accounting & Finance
- Oversee the issuance of monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Review and approve all statutory financial reports and other tax filings
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial results to Marmon
- Support internal and external audits
- Manage all aspects of accounting, tax, and treasury
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting for foreign operations
Risk Management
- Lead enterprise risk management process
- Oversee all aspects of the credit and collections
- Monitor all legal matters involving the company and external legal developments which may impact the company
- Maintain an effective system of internal controls to prevent fraud
- Work with Marmon’s risk management department to ensure the company is adequately insured
- Ensure the company follows all regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- MBA and/or CPA designation preferred
- 15+ years of progressive corporate finance experience
- Extensive experience partnering with the leadership team to develop and execute growth strategies
- Knowledge of equipment leasing, preferred
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills
- Solid understanding of technical accounting and financial reporting rules
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to easily connect with people and resolve conflicts
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Problem solver
- Ability to influence and inspire others
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI

They will provide perspective coming in from outside the organization to aid in the collective leadership team’s understanding and acceptance of trends, insights, changing business perspective and management strategies. This keen perspective should be presented with patience and guidance rather than brute authority.
