POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for a production operation in accordance with the Entekra vision and values. Accountable to provide clear direction and performance feedback to production staff to meet production and quality standards, policies & regulations for efficient, safe and environmentally compliant operation. Assumes manufacturing manager responsibilities as necessary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain a successful safety culture by implementing and driving disciplined processes and systems to ensure the safety of all employees and contractors. This includes supporting established safety programs and standards, SOP’s, identifying and eliminating hazards, and enforcing all safety rules.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment which provides employees and customers a positive impression of Entekra’s state of the art factory and company.
  • Accountable for ensuring production staff is adequately trained and receive timely and accurate performance related coaching and counseling; initiate corrective action when necessary.
  • Assist and participate with interviewing, selection and orientation process, has significant responsibility within the hiring process, including internal promotions.
  • Lead, plan and participate in continuous improvement, cost reductions and production optimization efforts to meet and exceed budget expectations.
  • Ensure equipment supplies and factory facilities are in appropriate working condition to meet business needs. Ensure proper preventive maintenance programs are implemented and maintained to maximize uptime and minimize catastrophic maintenance events.
  • Direct daily production operations and systems to ensure production meets delivery schedules.
  • Build and maintain a strong customer and quality focus mentality within the production team.
  • Prepare timely reports for distribution to internal customers; maintain accurate records and files.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

This individual will provide a worldly perspective of macro and industry influences to assist in guiding the company in new directions. This keen perspective should be presented with patience and guidance rather than authoritative.

This individual must be intellectually sharp and clearly capable of thinking on his/her feet while demonstrating outstanding business judgment. The General Manager will possess the analytical skills to improve overall productivity and elevate the company’s sales and E-Commerce efforts as a point of differentiation in the marketplace. This person must not only embrace change, but be entrepreneurial in nature, creating and altering this road map along the way.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Production, or related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of demonstrated manufacturing supervisory/management experience required.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of factory processes and equipment, and have a workable knowledge of industry technological developments and best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of effective and efficient production and manufacturing methods.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated skills or knowledge of managerial and supervisory skills.
