DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Participates in developing and implementing a strategic operating plan that supports the organization’s vision and goals and long-term operations strategy; translates the strategic plan to staff to ensure support, and modifies the plan in response to change internal and external factors
  • Oversees the functions of operations, continuous improvement, systems integration, operational excellence and multi-media
  • Analyze revenue, profit, and cash flow opportunities for the business and recommend actions to maximize efficiencies and operational partnership with sales and product.
  • Participates with the CEO and other executive leadership team members in setting policies and determining strategies
  • Fosters a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus, and service and encourages individual accountability and integrity
  • Analyzes current and future trends and needs and accurately assesses functional responsibilities competitive strengths and vulnerabilities to maintain a competitive position within the industry
  • Responsible for meeting the organization’s financial targets (key measurements and benchmarks including operating income, revenue, margins and growth)
  • Creates and manages a department structure, operating standards, and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs
  • Models leadership of performance accountability by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues in a prompt manner
  • Ensures continuous improvement of customer satisfaction through programs to reduce deviations, provide for on-time delivery, and meeting consumer quality expectations
  • Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality
  • Must be superior in customer relations and possess exceptional people skills
  • Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
  • Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals
  • A diplomatic approach to management at the plant level to encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment
  • Support, as necessary, research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies
  • Work with purchasing manager to develop and improve supplier relationships
  • Maintain and support a superior 6 Sigma program, including all timely communication
