Participates in developing and implementing a strategic operating plan that supports the organization’s vision and goals and long-term operations strategy; translates the strategic plan to staff to ensure support, and modifies the plan in response to change internal and external factors
Oversees the functions of operations, continuous improvement, systems integration, operational excellence and multi-media
Analyze revenue, profit, and cash flow opportunities for the business and recommend actions to maximize efficiencies and operational partnership with sales and product.
Participates with the CEO and other executive leadership team members in setting policies and determining strategies
Fosters a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus, and service and encourages individual accountability and integrity
Analyzes current and future trends and needs and accurately assesses functional responsibilities competitive strengths and vulnerabilities to maintain a competitive position within the industry
Responsible for meeting the organization’s financial targets (key measurements and benchmarks including operating income, revenue, margins and growth)
Creates and manages a department structure, operating standards, and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs
Models leadership of performance accountability by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues in a prompt manner
Ensures continuous improvement of customer satisfaction through programs to reduce deviations, provide for on-time delivery, and meeting consumer quality expectations
Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality
Must be superior in customer relations and possess exceptional people skills
Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals
A diplomatic approach to management at the plant level to encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment
Support, as necessary, research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies
Work with purchasing manager to develop and improve supplier relationships
Maintain and support a superior 6 Sigma program, including all timely communication
