
Position Overview
Chief Executive Officer
Based in Indianapolis and reporting to the DCL Board of Directors and Partners at Huron Capital, The Chief Executive Officer will be tasked to expand revenue while enhancing the profitability of this private equity backed 3PL company. This individual will provide clear, compelling, and collaborative leadership that ensures both support for and fulfillment of the corporate core strategy in a manner consistent with the values, culture and purpose of Private Equity backed corporation. In conjunction with the board of directors, this individual will lead the development of strategic plans to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization.
The CEO will lead strategy and direction of the organization. He/ She will work with the executive team to identify business target and business development opportunities including organic growth potential merger or acquisition targets. The CEO will collaborate with the sales team to build customer relationships at the executive, regional and local levels to support retention of existing business and helping to expand service offering with existing customers. He/she will have responsibility over sales presentations & strategies targeted to both new sales and existing customer renewals from identification through negotiation. The CEO will oversee P&L for the organization, setting and monitoring financial goals, with responsibility over forecasting, budgets, KPI and metrics. The CEO will bring a strong focus on customer relationships, innovation, growth, efficient operations, P&L, effective utilization of capital, thoughtful investments (M&A), inspiring team leadership, effective communication to all company constituents, and a profitable vision for the future.
The successful candidate will be highly entrepreneurial, thrive on collaboration and possess a holistic and deep understanding of the elements to drive a profitable operation. The new CEO will head an executive team focused on operations, finance, sales, fleet management, human resources, information technology and quality assurance/ service. The CEO will lead, nurture, and grow teams with responsibility over. A key priority will be to continue the development of each individual staff member while enhancing the overall capability and capacity of the team.
