ROLE & RESPONSIBILITES

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for deriving value out of data and driving financial planning for the business. The Chief Financial Officer will provide informed and objective counsel on business issues and will offer technical and experience-based advice to peer executives and staff. Along with the rest of the executive leadership team, this individual should be a strong and proactive advocate for value creation across all functional areas of the organization. This individual will be a leader who will provide hands-on and day-to-day management of all financial functions and best practices, promoting and instilling a culture of personal learning and professional development.

  • Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to assist with high level decisions involving policy, strategy, and business performance.
  • Manage accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
  • Install and maintain effective financial management and business reporting processes and controls across the organization.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, develop and implement performance tracking metrics and a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Scorecard.
  • Ensure appropriate risk mitigation through systematic risk assessment and risk mitigation tools and processes.
  • Develop and maintain close communications with field personnel.
  • Monitor and advise on trends that influence financial risks and opportunities for the company.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies in working capital, operating costs, and capital expenditures.
  • Evaluate and oversee implementation of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Manage vendor relationships and external banking relationships with lenders.
