POSITION OVERVIEW
Comhar Partners is seeking a skilled, interpersonal, and autonomous Contract Recruiter to assist with high and mid-level recruitment needs on a project basis for a set period of time as an Independent Contractor. The Contract Recruiter will be responsible for coordinating the interview and hiring process, sourcing qualified candidates and applying advanced interviewing techniques to determine candidate viability. This role is also responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service, delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience, while maintaining consistent communication to all parties involved throughout the interview process. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who will employ their specialized skills and network with us to bring the right people on board.
The Recruiter is an independent contractor and is compensated on an hourly basis based on hours authorized for each specific engagement. Hours may vary widely depending on client needs, and no minimum amount of hours can be guaranteed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for open positions across all core corporate business functions. This includes: sourcing, interviewing, scheduling candidates, providing feedback, and negotiating & extending offers.
- Provide ad-hoc recruitment in other functional areas as needed.
- Meet with hiring managers upon approval of Project Manager to discuss role responsibilities and requirements; provide consistent communication throughout the open search.
- Maintain applicant tracking system (Keyhires), including updating candidate records, inputting weekly journal entries, tracking candidate and interview status, and assisting with keeping clear records.
- Manage and update weekly progress reports and provide concise updates to Directors and Hiring Managers when necessary.
- Track performance metrics on a project-by-project basis.
- Build strong candidate pipeline through proactive sourcing.
- Support the implementation of talent acquisition projects.
- Help establish connections with professional groups, communities, and other organizations.
- Qualify, interview and present qualified candidates for each engagement.
- Coordinate candidate interviews with HR business partners.
- Assist with hiring and onboarding candidates.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years’ experience in a similar role desired.
- College degree preferred.
- Understanding of fast-paced environment.
- Ensure the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and recruiting systems.
- Familiarity with recruiting software (e.g. Applicant Tracking Systems) and online databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multi-task, have superior judgment, professionalism, poise.
- Great initiative with the ability to be a collaborative and team player.
- Positive, professional attitude and presence, ability to exhibit exceptional customer service/interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and follow-up skills.
- Proven success as a recruiter.
- Hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle.
- Industry hiring experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of effective hiring practices (e.g. social media recruiting).
- Excellent communication skills, strong decision-making skills, and proven organizational ability.
