Chief Executive Officer
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- First-hand knowledge of the Construction/Trades Industries
- Four (4) year degree in Construction, Engineering, Business or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Ten (10) years’ experience in the management of construction companies in positions of increasing responsibility required
- Extensive professional experience in effectively leading senior teams with clarity of purpose and vision
- Experience with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) a strong plus
- Unquestionable commitment to, and highest standards of integrity, ethics, trust, and personal character
- Experience in evaluating financial and operational scenarios with a goal of developing and implementing a strategic path forward
- Very high emotional intelligence (Great listener, builds trust quickly), more assertive than aggressive
- Teacher, Mentor, Developer of others – is passionate about succession planning and next-gen talent
- Demonstrates dedication to quality, safety, and extraordinary customer service
- Previous turn-around experience for a business unit having at least 100 employees, or having served as Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer of a successful/growing company in the horizontal or vertical construction industry
- Minimum ten (10) years of sustained positive business performance; a demonstrated ability to meet/exceed financial goals and targets on a consistent basis
- Excellent communicator - skilled in written and spoken messaging, able to paint a vision, clarify the complex, and connect individuals to the company story
- Future-focused, able to identify trends and opportunities, and then connect them to company strategy
- Ability to build a cohesive team/align Executive team around shared purpose and values
- Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take over leadership of any business operations area including a thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of construction business operations

- Ability to bring seemingly disparate parts of the organization into a cohesive group
